The Fat Duck Restaurant and Bar is situated in a prime spot for tourists and locals alike, the first eatery you come across on the way to and from Milford Sound, and right at the entrance to the town centre.
Since opening in 2006 it has steadily built up a solid reputation with locals and has proved to be extremely popular within the tourist market too.
The fitting out of the restaurant is immaculate. From the leather dining chairs to the granite bar to the schist fire places - it truly is a lovely place to eat and drink. The restaurant seats 70 inside and 40 outside, with a capacity for 220 patrons in total. The Fat Duck caters for large groups, and is a great choice of venue for weddings and functions.
There is ample storage space and chiller room, and a well layed out spacious kitchen.
Off-season sees the restaurant open 5 days a week, Weds-Fri noon till 10pm approx, and Sat-Sun 10am-10pm approx, and operates 7 days a week in season.
